Our Heritage
D.P. Jewellers, the flagship brand of D.P. Abhushan Limited, traces its origins to a modest partnership firm that was later incorporated as a limited company in 2017 under the Companies Act, 2013. The story of the brand, however, began much earlier in 1940 in Ratlam, a small town in Madhya Pradesh that would go on to earn national recognition for its gold trade.
Founded by Late Shri Dhulchand Ji Kataria during a period of immense hardship and courage, when India was still under British rule, D.P. Jewellers was built on resilience, vision, and an unshakeable belief in ethical business. His foresight and relentless efforts not only laid the foundation of the brand but also played a pivotal role in establishing Ratlam as the “Gold City” of India. This enduring legacy was carried forward by his son, Late Shri Panna Lal Ji Kataria, who strengthened the brand's values and deepened its connection with customers.
Over the last 85 years, D.P. Jewellers has evolved into a trusted retail jewellery chain with a strong presence across Ratlam, Indore, Udaipur, Bhopal, Ujjain, Bhilwara, Kota, Banswara, Ajmer and Neemuch. Under the able leadership of Late Shri Manoharlal Ji Kataria and Shri Ratanlal Ji Kataria, sons of Late Shri Panna Lal Ji Kataria, the business expanded steadily while remaining anchored to its founding principles of purity and transparency.
